We are working exclusively with Mriya Agro Holdings. They are one of the largest and most efficient agricultural producers in Ukraine and globally. The company was founded in 1992 as a family business with the dream to create a leading and responsible agricultural business committed to growing and supplying the best produce for its people. Today, that dream has become reality. Our client has grown dramatically and expanded its farmland from 50 hectares in 1992 to 240,000 hectares today. Their produce is sold in over 20 countries around the world, supplying the largest food companies in Europe.
Their production is concentrated in Western Ukraine where black earth is among the most fertile lands in the world. They cultivate a diverse range of agricultural crops including wheat, rapeseed, corn, sugar beet, potatoes, buckwheat, barley, peas, soybeans and sunflower seeds, taking full advantage of the fertile land it owns to meet the vital and growing global demand for food. Due to rapid expansion, an opportunity has now arisen for a specialist agronomist to ensure that Mriya are at the forefront of modern farming systems, approaches and technology.
Main Accountabilities
- Crop development programmes using latest technologies
- Development and implementation of most productive varieties and systems
- Pesticide & Fertiliser recommendations
- Crop walking.
- Full involvement in all appropriate R&D
- Agrochem budgeting
- Participation of company agronomic training
Experience & Qualifications:
•Minimum Agriculturally-based degree
•Fluent in German OR English
•Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
•Excellent knowledge and experience of Sugar Beet, wheat, rapeseed, corn and other crops as well as pesticides and fertilisers
•Established contacts with Agrochemical & Seed suppliers, scientific and research centres
•Minimum Agriculturally-based degree
•Fluent in German OR English
•Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
